GREAT NORTH WOODS

With acres of wilderness to be discovered, New Hampshire’s Great North Woods is a nature lover's paradise. Moose Alley is located along Route 3 and is known for frequent moose encounters. Visit Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge and Route 16 along the Thirteen Mile  Woods for more meetings with these fantastic creatures.


 
At more than 80 feet high, Beaver Brook Falls Wayside is a jaw-dropping natural wonder that you don’t want to miss. Other waterfalls worth a visit include the mesmerizing Dixville Flume and Huntington Cascades. Want to say you stood halfway between the Equator and the North Pole? Visit the 45th Parallel, located on Route 3. From glacial lakes and historic attractions to outdoor adventures and scenic drives, you’ll want to come back and experience all four seasons in the Great North Woods.
